What MDCAT actually tests
The National MDCAT is built on the PMDC-notified syllabus and is drawn heavily from the FSc Part I and Part II textbooks — Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English and Logical Reasoning. Almost every question traces back to a line in those textbooks. Prep books are there to drill recall and speed, not to replace the FSc books.

When to buy
MDCAT is typically sat after FSc Part II results. Serious preparation starts alongside FSc Part II rather than after it, and stock on the popular academy guides tightens sharply in the weeks before the test.
