If you buy only one book: OETP
The OETP guide is the book almost every NET high-scorer names first. NUST does not officially release past papers, and the question pool repeats heavily year to year — OETP compiles memory-based questions from students who actually sat the test, with worked solutions rather than a bare answer key.
What it will not do: teach you concepts from scratch. It is a practice and pattern book. If your FSc or A Level basics are weak, working through OETP directly will just frustrate you.

OETP plus the NET guide for your discipline. The discipline guides carry the topic notes and parallel drills that OETP deliberately leaves out.
What NUST actually tests
NET questions are drawn primarily from SSC and HSSC textbooks. Your board books remain the foundation — Punjab Textbook Board material for Physics and Mathematics in particular, since the NET question bank leans on it regardless of which board you studied under.

Engineering / Computing — Mathematics carries the heaviest weight, then Physics. Speed matters more than depth.

Business Studies & Social Sciences — basic mathematics, English, and intelligence questions rather than the science papers. A completely different test.
How to use these books
- Read the chapter in your board textbook first.
- Immediately solve that chapter's questions in OETP to see how NUST frames it.
- Sit full sections under a timer. NET is computer-based and fast — 200 questions in three hours.
When to buy
NET runs in multiple series through the year and candidates commonly sit more than one. Stock tightens sharply in the weeks before each series — our own data shows test-preparation orders peaking in August and falling 76% by November.

Is the OETP guide good for NUST?
Yes — it is the most recommended single book for NET, because it is built on memory-based past questions rather than generic entry-test material. Use it for practice, not for learning concepts.
Is OETP enough on its own?
For pattern and practice, largely. For concepts, your board textbooks. For very high scores in Engineering or CS, add heavier mathematics practice.
Which guide for BBA or Accounting?
The Business Studies & Social Sciences guide at Rs. 1,550. The Engineering guide is the wrong test.
Are these original prints?
Yes. Photocopied entry-test guides frequently carry missing or wrong answer keys, which is worse than useless when you are checking timed practice.
