What her writing is like
Areej Shah writes in the darker end of contemporary Urdu romance — intense, emotionally heavy, and closer to what readers call dark romance than to the classic Urdu tradition of Bano Qudsia or Ashfaq Ahmed.
If you have read Noor Rajpoot and liked the tone, Areej Shah is the closest thing on our shelves. Readers who prefer something lighter usually go to Farhat Ishtiaq instead.
