What FIA is, and who it suits
Foundations in Accountancy is the entry route into ACCA for students without the qualifications to start at Applied Knowledge level. It covers FA1, MA1, FA2, MA2 and the diploma-level FBT, FMA and FFA papers — and completing the diploma papers grants exemption from the first ACCA papers, so nothing is wasted.
Study text or revision kit?
You want both, and they do different jobs. The study text teaches the syllabus. The revision kit is exam-standard questions with examiner answers — and for FIA, where the papers are heavily computer-based and time-pressured, the kit is where the pass usually comes from. Working through it under timed conditions is the single most effective thing you can do.
